Living with Hep C

Hi All,

Although most on this forum have treated for Hep C--I have not. I use a

supplement protocol from Dr Burt Berkson. It DOES NOT cure Hep C, but it does

help protect the liver. And it does work for many people. It is very basic, does

not require script and has no side effects for most people and is inexpensive.

Dr Berkson is a highly respected doctor. Google his name and you can read about

him, his credentials and his protocol.

I will be 78 in less than a month and had Hep C since 1966--it was called liver

disease back then. For whatever reasons, my Hep C has progressed VERY slowly. I

did stop drinking in 1966 and take as few meds as possible. My " liver disease "

was diagnosed as Hep C in 1999. There is lots of info on Hep C on the internet.

You might try the online book " Choices " . Not sure if it has updated to the

latest treatment yet, but it is very informative.

The newest treatment, currently in trials, is really exciting and looks like it

will cure Hep C in three months with few side effects.

Just wanted to let you know that there are some out there that are living with

Hep C and living full productive lives. Well, I'm hardly as productive as I

once was, but I am a lot better than many my age without Hep C. Mowed and weed

whacked my yard last week--and it is hot here in Texas.

Would I treat??? Yes, if the new treatment proves to be as promising as it

sounds. Of course, I'll be over 80 by then. In the meantime, I'll continue to

use my supplements and keep my liver healthy.
