ADHD and borderline personality disorder

I found this quote at medscape,com, a sight I subscribe to. I thought

it is interesting and lately I have seen more and more reference to

ADHD as being a cause or part of the cause for BPD.

" Medscape: Are there any other personality disorders that seem to be

prominent in this population? " (Adult ADHD population)

" Dr. Prince: There's not a lot written about it yet, but borderline

personality disorder is something we see in a lot of women with ADHD.

Girls with ADHD seem to be at somewhat increased risk of abuse.

Between the ADHD and abuse and depression, you may have set the stage

for formation of a borderline personality disorder. "

This explanation seems most probable with my nada. Maybe it applies

to someone else here and is another key to answer some question you

may have.

I would be interested to know if anyone else thinks their nada is also

ADHD or ADD.
