I’m reaching out to the VERY

resourceful TFC group and need an answer fairly quickly. J

I have a pre transplant patient who had

a colonoscopy. Well as a result of the colonoscopy the patient needed a

polypectomy. From my understanding, KACC stops paying AFTER the colonoscopy. I

thought the polypectomy would be considered treatment. My director told me

that we would be responsible for the charges for the polypectomy. Well, as a

result of the polypectomy the bowel was perforated. So now does that make us

responsible for those charges as well?!

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much everyone!!
