I hope the cortisone shot helps, but I'm sure you understand that it

will not address the triggering cause of EN. Exercise is not an EN

trigger, but I too have found that activity aggravates EN if my EN is

not in a remission or if it is ready to come out. As we explore the

approximately 100 EN triggers, I hope you discover the one that is

5. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have

EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group.

We are not sure of the exact trigger at this time but I notice the

bumps after I begin running or jogging daily.

They start out very painful and very red.

It has gotten to the point that I can't stand for very long because

the pressure causes pain during a " breakout " .

I say breakout because I get them off and on it is not a constant

problem for me(usually every few months)

7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their

effectiveness:

I just received a shot of Cortisone yesterday and that has been my

first step towards treatment. I don't know how effective it is at this

point.

8. When did you first get erythema nodosum or PG? My first signs of EN

were at age 14

9. How long have you had erythema nodosum or PG? about 7 years

10. Do you agree to treat all EN members with respect? yes!
