Guest guest
Among a bunch of blood/urine tests done so far my new PCP switched me to compounded natural porcine thyroid meds: Free T3 1.9 (normal 2.3-4.2) Free T4 0.88 (normal 0.73-1.95) T4 4.3 (normal 4.4-12.4) TSH 10.8 (normal 0.3-5.1) Vit D 37 (normal 30-60) We started a few days ago at 1½ grains -- with plans to adjust after (24 hr) iodine urine testing to be done next week. Does that sound like a dose that will work or that it will need to be raised? I am guessing that I will soon be taking iodine supplements as I've had many of the symptoms of iodine deficiency. Finally found better help alist & found out that I do not have the acid reflux or any of the other silly guesses the other turkeys thought; instead I have erosive gastritis in my stomach & small intestine. Also found out that I probably had another really bad infection that caused colitis - started treatment for it & hope that it will heal faster now with the right diagnosis and plan. What a relief!!
