Guest guest Posted July 12, 2004 Report Share Posted July 12, 2004 well- jakey is back from the vet. he had to have 2 teeth pulled, blood work, and a dental done. $320 later, he looks beautiful. one problem though. he has to have more blood work done in 4 weeks because his liver enzymes were elevated. his alt was normal but the other one was high. the doctor said it could be stress- he hasnt been strressed. it could be a number of things. any ideas?? anyone have any doggies that had this happen? im so worried and she wants me to wait 4 weeks til he is tested again. she said because the alt was normal, this shows he has no liver damage. i am so worried and scared of cancer or something like that. he has no symptoms and she said if it were cancer, it would be in the very early stages. that didnt make me feel better. she doesnt think it is cancer. his level was at 7oo something. she said she has seen it as high as 2000 in some dogs and then it goes down. im so scared though Toby had his lump looked at and she said it is just a growth. He has always had it but it seemed to have gotten bigger. she said it can happen and unless it starts to look funny or change color, its no biggie. this thing is perfectly round. doesnt hurt him either. k- im broke now........lol vicki Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
