My daughter cut her bottom two front teeth first just like my other kiddos. She didn't cut them until she was 14 months, then a month later she cut her four one-year molars. Now she just cut a tooth to the side of her bottom two. Still nothing on the top except for molars and she is 21 months old :)

is three. She cut her molars first. :) at 18 months.

She is missing some of her teeth on the bottom. I need to get her into a dentist this summer/fall.

I am told that anything" goes for the most part with DS and Teeth.

oddly.. my aunt who is in her 50s.. has a extra set of adult teeth in her gums.

Re: [DownSyndromeInfoExchange] Teething

Just thought I would say that my son is 27 and still has 1 baby tooth. He still has not gotten any wisdom teeth either and may never get them. Any thing goes I guess. <sjmh06> wrote:

Hi,I had a question about teething. My son with DS just turned two and has been getting all his teeth at the typical times, not delayed or in a different order. I thought it was taking forever for his molars to come in. I finally caught a peek and he is getting a 3rd molar on top (both sides). I think this is the 6 year molar.I"m trying to get an appt with a dentist soon though I know it will be difficult as he does not open his mouth when you ask him to and does not like to sit still:)! Has anyone had teeth come in early? Thanks for your help!

My daughter who is 7.4 got all her teeth on time and in the typical order BUT she has started losing the baby teeth and what a mess!

She has tiny baby teeth but she is getting large adult, to the point that one adult tooth takes up the space of 2 baby teeth. She lost her first tooth, top right in April and her adult tooth is almost all the way in. She lost her top left in July and her adult is cutting through. Where is the problem you may be asking ... well, the bottom two are not even the slightest bit loose but she has her adult teeth bottom two already in behind, way behind her baby teeth so she has to get the bottom 4 fronts removed by a Ped. Dentist in the next month and will most likely have to get 4 adult teeth removed when they come in but so does my son. She is almost finished cutting her bottom molars. So at one time she had 5 teeth come in!!!

Fun at our house!!!

Steph,

Adorable! Cute headband!

(almost 3) had exactly the same teeth missing for a long time. One of them has finally come in, but it is turned slightly sideways. The other is still missing.

In this pic you can see a small space at the bottom of this brilliant smile :) She has one just like it on the other side. Its like her bottom canines or the bi cupids or whatever is next to the bottom incisors.
