How will your employer feel if you start work, then leave for surgery & recovery??? Is your DH your support person? Will he be allowed to leave then, too? My ohh my, what a spot you find yourself in. I've throught about that and I even mentioned this to my husband and the health adminstrator(my future boss). There are two postive one is that this is a state run facility and they adhere to the family leave act of 1996 and this would also cover my husband if I need him to take care of me. Second beening a Pennaslyvia state employee I have my pick of several health plans. I found the website for state employee called the PETB which has 5-6 different health planS and I found serveral people on the amos site that are employees, and have serveral of the insurance plans and so far all have been approve for wls. I only found one for who had the ds and she had no problems getting aproval. I guess the hard part is waiting possible untill next spring. kim
