Guest guest
My 4 dogs LOVED cats.....and all my dogs got along wonderfully with them. But Rays dogs are cat eaters and his ex wife was a cat hater,...LOL, long story but when I moved in Rays ex-wife was still here. Needless to say my animals were not welcomed by her at all. I found new homes for my dogs as well as the cats. Moving here meant making some TOUGH choices, and giving up the babies was one that tore our family apart, but it was a decision I had to make. It kinda boiled down to Ray or the animals because to move here with him meant letting go of the dogs and cats. It took a LONG time to get over, in fact the kids still get upset, but we know where they all went and that they are loved and cared for and we know that we did the right thing at the time for everyone. 1 of the dogs had a cancerous tumour in his ear and had to be put to sleep (he was 17 years old) and 1 of the cats died at the age of 14 (weird, I got her the day I met my ex and she died the day our divorce was final) and all the rest got new home, some (the Dalmatians) in the country, one with a little old lady in a mobile home who needed a companion and my little hairless was perfect for her, and the cats with friends and relatives who adored them! Can you imagine? We would have had 4 cats - 9 dogs - 4 Dalmatians, 2 Beagles, and 2 Hairless Chihuahuas plus the Pomeranin mix male we got together if I had kept them - LOL, But I still ended up with 9 dogs (got rid of the ex wife though), and my babies all got good homes where they are very loved (Rays dogs and mine did not get along at all and my hairless's have very sensitive skin and couldn't handle nips ands bites and scratches) and now we are back to 9 dogs, and all of them get along GREAT, OK, except for my ex's dog Bear who has little brains and just keeps nipping the others. Isn't life strange? LOL, or is it just us? Cindee > > LOL, I think the dogs actually behave better than the kids....at > > least they sure eat better!
