Guest guest
After a couple of false starts, I settled on Vitacost’s house brand, NSI: http://www.vitacost.com/NSI-Rhodiola-Rosea Even with the shipping cost, you pay only $29.95 for a four months (120 days) supply. If you use the “Autoship!†feature, you get automatic shipments and a 5% discount. If it weren’t a good brand, it wouldn’t be worth it, but it is, and it’s nearly the least expensive Rhodiola rosea you can buy. I take one capsule in the morning before I eat (with my thyroid medicine, actually) and another around 1:30 in the afternoon. I try to take that one on an empty stomach too, but it doesn’t seem to matter that much. I had results in less than a month (actually, I think it was 17 days), and since then, I’ve had the energy to not only join a gym (first time in my life) but also to go every day. I just can’t say enough good things about it. Re: Re: Hormone evaluation with Dr G The product also has Rhodiola which is what is referred to as an adaptogen - it helps to normalize your cortisol whether it is too low or too high. There's lots of research on this one - here's one good article: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19500070
