Guest guest
Well.. you are not " supposed " to step on the bees. Of course, since I have always worn shoes I have no idea how many little bee corpses might be stuck to the bottom of my feet at any given time. Yet I would think the bees would move out of the way most of the time - so they could sting you higher up...LOL But actually - when I think about it - it seems like when I dared even wear sandles - I would often end up stepping on a stick or something - or if I dare walk to get something out of my car in just my socks - there is always that ONE rock that hits me in the middle of the foot - just constantly re-inforcing the " get SOMETHING on your FEET!!! " theme. Oohh.. the other evening I DID that. Ran outside and stepped on a rock. All of a sudden I had a memory of doing that at 4-H camp when I was around 10 or so. I jumped in some water and misjudged the depth and really rammed a rock in my foot. I hadn't thought about it for YEARS - until the other night - when the rock hit my foot - and up came the memory... I've been out in the grass some... haven't stepped on any bees (yet)..but have even been amazed at myself for going barefoot INSIDE - like in the living room and stuff - really liberating actually. You know - now that I think about it - I have always been kind to other people's feet. Gads! You should have seen the kids crossing over that hot asphalt to get to the ice cream truck. I always expected to smell sizzling flesh. Then they would hop back and forth for awhile. But I always pulled over enough so they could stand in the grass to get their ice cream - and always carried plenty of water to dump on the sidewalk to cool it off when there was no grass. Get two shots each > week, hoping to decrease my reaction level...someday you may see me > barefoot...Carol >
