Thank you ,

Well it was my aunt who passed and three of her children smoke (AND THEIR SPOUSES SMOKE TO) and the other three don't smoke (all adults) and everyone has been gathering at my aunt's house, so I can't ask them not to smoke in their home and it seems as if everyone is chain smoking (which I understand) under the cirmcumstances.

Even when I would go out on the porch to sit a smoker came out. So not too sure what to do.

But thank you all! for your kind words.

Hugs

Kay,My condolences to you and your family. I'll be praying for you. I do understand about the smoke. When my uncle passed away a couple of weeks ago, I had to deal with smokers outside at the funeral home and at my aunt's house when we went for dinner after the services. It's good that my aunt doesn't allow smoking in the house though. I hope you do ok. I know how hard it is to avoid the smoke. Is there anyway that your family would limit their smoking while you are there or is it "their house and they'll do what they want in it?" If you have a lot of trouble breathing and don't feel well after you've been there, you may have to limit your time there, as painful as that may be. Your family is important and this is a hard time, but your health is important too. Be sure to take your meds and maybe that will help a little. Take care. ((((((HUGS)) ))))

My great aunt (who I was very close with) past away early saturday morning from a heart attack. When I went to be with the family today EVERYBODY smokes cigarettes! No matter where I sat today someone was smoking. Even when I went outside it was as if the smoke travelled right to me. How am I going to deal with being around smokers all weekend :-( I'm already really upset about losing my aunt and now being around the smokers could set my asthma off big time. I felt pretty bad when I came home tonight. had to take a predinisone ( I know I'm supposed to take a predinisione everyday) yuk.thanks for listeninghugs Kay

Kay, I’ve done this, can you say when you go outside, When they

light up, um I’m an asthmatic and could you smoke that down wind of me, I find

that works great, it doesn’t offend anyone and makes them aware! Again I am so

sorry for your loss!
