Off Topic/ New password security info

Hello all

I am sending this to all the groups. I am always hearing about someones account

getting hacked and I recieved a very good article on how technology has changed

so it's now very easy for the bad guys to get our passwords. It's a long article

from Ask Leo which is a very good place to get computer questions asked. I am

not trying to sell anyone and if you want get his weekly newsletter just ask me

and will send link. The article about passwords and why we need a 12 caracture

" spelling " password one now is too long to post so have to give you the link to

it. It's safe and the guy does know what he is talking about plus it's very

informative on how they get our passwords in the first place, very interesting.

I have read articles similiar to the one you are talking about. Passwords should never have your spouses,children or pets name in them. That is a way that those who have ill intent can hack into your account. Like the guy said. Make it something that you can remember but something that is different. As for example: dog1567eating! Of course that is not any of my passwords. LOL but something like that is a good strong password. Protect your password. I have a business email address that I use for my work and emails that I don't want to receive jokes and so forth. It is good to have two email accounts just as a backup.
