5. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have

EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group.

I have the typical red, hot, painful lumps appearing on my shins. I

was just diagnosed by my doctor yesterday. I had been taking

antibiotics to treat a spider bite (on my leg) and these other lumps

started appearing on both legs. I assumed it was a reaction to the

drugs, but they were not going away so I went to see my doctor. She

has seen the condition before and knew what it was right away. I am

awaiting the results of my blood tests and chest xray. I am still in

the early stages of diagnosis, but am looking for some information

from other members as to what has worked for them.

7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their

effectiveness:

At the moment, my doctor has recommended only Advil.

The spots started appearing about two weeks ago (June 24, 2005)
