Guest guest
Hi all, I think I've found a doctor I can stay with, finally. He is friendly and has a sense of humor. He is knowledgeable and insightful. No other doctor I've seen in my adult life has asked me if I've had my vitamin D or other hormone levels checked. He is willing to Rx Armour, Naturethroid or ERFA thyroid. He wrote me a Rx for a year's worth after just seeing my lab results from May 2009 from my previous doctor. Even when I expressed concern that my Canadian thyroid might get confiscated by U.S. Customs, he said that rarely happens (besides, thyroid isn't exactly a "controlled substance"). I added him to our Database, so you can find his office info and my comments there. He's gotten great reviews on both www.healthgrades.com and www.vitals.com . (two sites that popped up when I "googled" him after finding his name on Shomon's site -- there's a good review there too but it's 2 years old). His office is not that far from where I work or live. I work near downtown but it only took 40 minutes to get to his office by taking I-10, Beltway 8, and SH249. The office staff is very nice, and I only had to wait about 10 minutes after arriving before I was shown to a room. He spent about 20-25 minutes with me, and didn't seem at all in a hurry to get me out the door. I definitely recommend him. He reminds me a bit of Dr. House, except that Dr. Francis isn't anti-social.
