Guest guest
Don't those Dr's love to give those shots. I had three and almost thought I was going to the moon. I hadn't had so much pain since I had my kids. Since they have offered botox shots. They might help but I will never know cause nobody will ever get that near my back again with a needle. A & H Hill wrote:<snipped> Few months later had MRIs on lower back, reporting that i had a herniated disk in the 5th lb. they tried 2 epidural treatments, the second injection the good Doc. missed , she hit the left nerve thats ran down my left leg. As i screamed she acted like no big deal. Stay way from the ejections!

Guest guest
Hi ann, the morphine pump is your best bet since you are at the top of oral pain medication. I had one for 4 years and it does help alot. You will still have to take pain meds for breakthrough pain. Morphine in the pump works, They are studying a pain med for the pump it is called SNX111 it is sea snail venum and from what I understand it works great with very little side effects. Go to www.TBI.com and see if they are done with the study or still doing the study. Who knows there were a few others that they are studying. Hope things work out. If you want to talk more about the pump e-mail me. Hugs Ann wrote: Have you considered a morphine pump? That is what I'm thinking about right now because I'm on the high end of my pain meds and the pump is the next logical step. You use a minute amount of meds in the pump that tolerance is not a problem.
Guest guest
Hi joel, I am new to the chronic pain group and I now exactly what you are talking about my doctor also okeyed it but only when the pain meds did not work and I could not sleep or the pain was unbearable. It helps the pain and also helps me to sleep. Is your pain management doctor doing urine tests on you all. My doc says that he needs 4 tests or more depending on what shows up in it, they are doing it to see if patients are taking there medications right and the levels are where they should be for the dosage you are on. From my understanding the FDA brought this into being to see if people are abusing mainly Oxycontin, Morphine, pretty much all schedule 1 narcotics. Let me know Thanks wrote: <snipped> I only do this as a last resort but it does work. I do what I gotta do to get relief.
