Guest guest
Dear Group, The question of Pain is a good one because quite of few of our members are parents, husbands and boyfriends of those with EN. The have no way of knowing how much EN hurts. Many of us have learned to put on a brave face and carry on is spite of pain, and often pay the price for it later. Before the days of the internet, I often went to the library and read medical books trying to find out about EN. I purchased medical and dermatology books when I could. One of those books described EN as " excruciatingly painful " . I remember showing that to the Hubby. Here is the defination of excruciating: http://education.yahoo.com/reference/thesaurus/entry/excruciating;_ylt=AtWkpX4YM\ IA07SXZgy9L5FOugMMF I love the pain scale that was sent because it can help to quantify pain. Most of us probably downplay our pain. It seems to me " excruciating " would be a pretty high number. For those Americans who have off tomorrow for MLK Jr. Day, continue enjoying your weekend!
