Guest guest
Okay, I checked my 7-year-old for the physical attributes of autism (he is mild AS or PDD-NOS). He did not match a single one. His ears are high if anything, do not lean at the top in any way, and he has beautiful, perfect lips.So the view from my end is that: a)the physical attributes are wrong, or there are variation of this autism-AS thing (which I do believe) and variable attributes along with the variations. By the way, Charlie does have a couple of unusual physical attributes. Just in case anyone else can relate: very large hands and unusually long and beautiful fingers (this was the first thing I noticed about him after he was born), ears that are slightly pointed at the top (his NT father has this also), and noticeably larger private apparatus than other male members of the family (I hate to go here . . . . .but it is true.) Can anyone else relate to the hand/fingers or ears -- we had probably better not go to the other "male apparatus" aspect. ) Betty Jo Marshall
