Guest guest
Hi Jan, If you mean Kris Coenen ******** Kris Sohill's Case History 5/23/05 "sohill54017" Hello, and thank you for the warm welcome to your board. I was dx with EN in 1992, actually it started in the late 80s with a rash on my lower legs. At first it was a lighter rash, but as time progessed it turned darker and redder. I noticed that it worsened when I was in the sun, heated up, or had hormone fluctuation. In 92 I had a baby at the age of 37, sortly after he was born, I had a horrible flare up, to the point that I lived for darvocet and prednisone. The pain in my legs and ankle joints was actually unbearable. The pred knocked it right out, but seems like my legs and reddness kept progressing, to the point now that to wear socks, support hose, or ted hose is pure torture. Now in about 1997 small brownish sores started forming, and my dr(dermatologist) biopsed them, they came back positve for sarcoidosis. Since that time, sarc has infected my lungs, but my legs and ankles are the worst. In sarcoid it has been found out that vit D and the way it Metabolizes causes flare ups, as well as stress, illness, and well just the Stupid disease. I worked for 25 years as a nurse, but quit in 2000 as I can't stand To be on my legs. I am now going back to work parttime, but have red hot patches on both lower legs. Sometimes I elevate them, and they turn just as red and hot as soon as I stand up. Oh well..... Thank you in advance for giving me the opportunity to share in some of your stories Kris ***** Kris is still a member getting all our emails.
