Thank you for tracking me down....I read with great interest all the emails and draw from everyones experiences..I continue on Plaquenil, 2.5/5mg prednisone, and am trying to ween off that altoghter...I read with interest about the bumps others get on fingers and hands, I get lots of sore little bumps about the size of (excuse the expression) a wart. Ouch they hurt, and sometimes go away as soon as they come. I am still working parttime as a nurse. The other nurses watch my legs with interest, seems like day one they look pretty normal, day two red and puffy, day three huge, red and bumpy........that is all I work, three days out of 14.We have a new addition to our family, a 14 month old boy, I don't know if I told you that we do foster care for special needs kids.....we used to have a family of 3 kids, but now have a family of nine. We adopted 6.....and looks like baby K will also join the crowd. He is a delight, delayed due to meth and drugs ingested

inutero....also has plagiocephaly. My children keep my mind off my problems......I do find myself using my pain meds more. I have always avoided them, and bit the bullet so to speak. Now I realize how silly. No sense to be in pain. Thank you for looking me up....have a nice day. In 92 I had a baby at theage of 37, sortly after he was born, I had a horrible flare up, tothe point that I lived for darvocet and prednisone. The pain in my legsand ankle joints was actually unbearable. The pred knocked it

rightout, but seems like my legs and reddness kept progressing, to thepoint now that to wear socks, support hose, or ted hose is puretorture. Now in about 1997 small brownish sores started forming, andmy dr(dermatologist) biopsed them, they came back positve forsarcoidosis. Hi Kris..I am a nurse as well...they feel my EN is from strep infections..so I left the hospital environment.Well also because the walking around was hurting me very much too.I now work as a visiting nurse and have less frequent bouts .Although here I am off work once again ...with nodosoms all over my body. The nurses are always checking me out too..lol.I find I have to do something other than bedrest or i dwell on the pain too much and get upset..so doing a little work provides distraction for me. bumpy........that is all I work, three days out of 14.We have a new addition to our family, a 14 month old boy, I don't know if I told you that we do foster care for special needs kids.....we used to have a family of 3 kids, but now have a family of nine. Kris Coenen ********Kris Sohill's Case History5/23/05"sohill54017" Hello, and thank you for the warm welcome to your board. I was dxwithEN in 1992, actually it started in the late 80s with a rash on mylower legs. At first it was a lighter rash, but as time progessed itturned darker and redder. I noticed that it worsened when I was inthe sun, heated up, or had hormone fluctuation. In 92 I had a baby at

theage of 37, sortly after he was born, I had a horrible flare up, tothe point that I lived for darvocet and prednisone. The pain in my legsand ankle joints was actually unbearable. The pred knocked it rightout, but seems like my legs and reddness kept progressing, to thepoint now that to wear socks, support hose, or ted hose is puretorture. Now in about 1997 small brownish sores started forming, andmy dr(dermatologist) biopsed them, they came back positve forsarcoidosis. Since that time, sarc has infected my lungs, but my legsand ankles are the worst. In sarcoid it has been found out that vit D and the way itMetabolizes causes flare ups, as well as stress, illness, and well just theStupid disease.I worked for 25 years as a nurse, but quit in 2000 as I can't standTo be on my legs. I am now going back to work parttime, but have red hotpatches on both lower legs. Sometimes I elevate them, and they turnjust as red and hot as soon as I stand up. Oh well.....Thank you in advance for giving me
