Guest guest Posted February 14, 2006 Report Share Posted February 14, 2006 I was diagnosed with vasculitis & erythema nodosum 4/05 and started w/40 mg. of prednisone. Since then, each time I go below 25 mg. I get flare-ups of " bumps " with high fever, high SED rate, anemia. 10/05 added imuran but same thing happened. Switched imuran to methotrexate last month. Friday went down to 22-1/2 mg. on pred and already having fever. Some bumps come & go within a week but some stay for weeks. Always feel fatigued and have general achiness. You will also experince the Prednisone puff, diabetes, weight gain, you name it that Prednisone brings on. I have both EN and Sarcoidosis and I definitely refuse Prednisone.
