Well they retested my Vit D cause the lab screwed it up the first

time. It was an 11. I knew the Vit D was going to be the culprit

of the elevated PTH. Im in rainy Seattle. It just makes sense.

So obviously for me, the Scandipharm ADEK doesn't do SQUAT. I've

been shelling out some big bucks, and now I'll be going back to the

perscription Calcitriol.

Anyone else have elevated Billirubin? Just curious if this is

something else or DS related.

Kym, Good news for me in sunny BFL, my vit D was normal. I am still

going on calcitriol, however.

Marta

Stupid question but does PTH mean PARATHYROID. If so this was off in

my labs prior to surgery and now after surgery it is all out of wack.

I am getting a little nervous because it seems like us POST DS

patients are having things VIT D deficiancy problems. I am afraid

that when I get older I wont have any good bones in my body. Man I

hope this gets under control.

Yes, a, it is our abbreviation for parathyroid. Sorry, we are

notoriously lazy about writing things out in the medical field.
