Guest guest Posted December 14, 2007 Report Share Posted December 14, 2007 Hello everyone, my name is Sharon and I have Hep C/genotype 2 and Cirrhosis. I started treatment in October of this year of Pegasys Interferon and Ribavirin. My platelet count was jumping around before I started treatment from 80,000 to 114,000. At week #5 my platelets had dropped to 52,000 so they reduced my shot and ran bloodwork again the next week only to find out that my platelets had falled to 32,000 and white blood cells and almost everything else had fallen below protocall so I had to stop treatment after shot #6. So now I am waiting a month to see what my platelets do on their own and to see where we go from here. The doctor is looking into getting me into some new treatment at a University Center.
