Guest guest
One should always inform the doctor (gently, with a " perhaps you aren't aware " type of approach) and anything the staff does that you find unprofessional, annoying, etc. Chances are really, really good that the doctor has no idea! I even told one that the staff needed to talk into their phone mouthpieces when they left messages on the answering machine - and speak slowly enough for an old person like me to be able to understand! The rest of the time I was with that doctor, all the messages I got were clear, to the point and easy to hear! Marti Issues re finding timely appt slots w/ Dr. Spurlock >I might suggest that those of us who see Dr. Spurlock let him know when we >can't get appointments according to his desired timetable. If he says he >wants to see us again in 4 weeks, but we only find appointments 10 weeks >out, I think he needs to know this from all of us. I might suggest that we >call his RN and get a message directly to him. I think sometimes physicians >don't know what is going on at the front desk. And getting back in a timely >manner, when he wants to see us, is important. If his RN calls back and >says he's ok with 10 weeks, then that's what we have to live with. > > If, on our own, we feel we need an appt and can't get in for 10+ weeks, we > need to let him know at the appt that we had a problem getting in to see > him.
