Make sure you are getting enough calcium with manganese or is it magnesium (little help here, Marta, please) that helps the muscles utilize the calcium. I had leg cramps and it was the calcium that helped knock them out. As for the protein, I had a similar problem with trying to gag down the drinks and couldn't do it. At four weeks, I found it easier to eat salmon and orange roughy fish, and also got some really good protein bars at Trader Joe's. Another good source was tuna with just a touch of fat free salad dressing to make a nice tuna salad and put that on a slice of protein bread, also from TJ's. That tuna salad sandwich was close to 25 grams of protein. The salmon (4oz) is about the same and the orange roughy is closer to 35. Start watching the labels and goes for the foods with the highest protein content. Hope that helps, Jerry

Guest guest
You can eat some banana, although it probably isn't going to give you enough to stop the leg cramps. I'd ask Dee what she recommends.

Guest guest
Try Tonic Water (let it go flat first!). Quinine is meant to help with cramps and I found tonic did the trick for me (has Quinine in it). Keep your chin up! Kristy
