Guest guest
Dear Lorri Anne, Shelia and Group, I think it is rare and wonderful to have a supportive family. I didn't have one either, so I set about at an early age to create what I call a "family of friends". We can't pick our family members, but we can pick our friends. I think it is important to surround ourselves with loving and supportive people. When family members who "should be" our strongest support system let us down, we are not a failure, and it isn't our fault. There is a whole world of people who are loving and suportive. They just don't happen to be a blood relative. People in this Group are my Online Family. We speak a language unknown to my blood family. Here we can find others who immediatey understand what we are talking about and where we are coming from simply by posting. You can hook up with people thousands of miles away, and they will often "get it" better than a family member who grew up with you or who lives in your house. God Bless the Intenet and our Family of Friends! Love,
