Guest guest
Hi all. I don't think this has ever been addressed (and if it can, I apologize), but this morning I awoke to some wilted smelly sprouts in 2 of my trays. I know the smell, because this happened to me when I initially started sprouting in my mason jars. So I switched to the sproutgarden and have had no problems, till this morning. Now it could be that I had too many seeds, I didn' rinse and drain properly but WHO KNOWS? because I'm diligent about rinsing and draining. It has gotten very hot and humid here in Brooklyn and I have no air conditioning. So I got the brilliant thought. (And I have the room) As I rinse and drain and I make sure all the water is gone, why can't I put my stackable trays (maybe 4 of them) INSIDE my fridge on the shelf. Plenty of room for them. I don't have lots of stuff in my fridge, just the stuff that I use. Now is this feasible. They would not be subject to humidity. They would be in a much cooler environment, etc. I remember last year (when I had an air conditioner in my bedroom) that when I went to bed at night (and the room was freezing) I would take the trays and put them on the bureau and return them to the kitchen in the morning. I am not replacing my air conditioner. So can I put my Sproutgarden (at least overnight), in the fridge? It's a good question, no?? lol Melody
