Guest guest
Give the size of the US and the numbers of us I believe we can both work from within and without – this reflects in fact the current reality. There are tradeoffs either way so I believe our best chances come from working on all fronts, using a common voice with a coordinated and sustained effort to reform health care in the US. I hesitate somewhat to throw this out, as I'm aware of the natural tension between those who believe we can make progress through the steps you outline within the framework of the current third-party payer system, and those of us who have taken the more blunt approach of launching cash-only practices. However, in the interest of discussion, do you believe we in any way enable the current chaos by participating with these plans while we advocate for change? It's an old question, not easily answered, of whether it's best to work within a system to reform it or attempt to break its back entirely so it can be rebuilt.
