Guest guest
You probably want to ask your doctor to run a blood ammonia level . With chronic hep c , eventually the liver stops being able to process the protein from red meat . And the results are the proteins turn into ammona in the blood . And the levels can become toxic . One of my first symptoms was short term memory loss , it is easily treated . And easy for a doctor to overlook . This problem is called hepatic enceplopathy Subject: memory lossTo: Hepatitis_C_Central Cc: "Vickie" Date: Sunday, November 14, 2010, 3:40 PM I've had Hep.C for probably 30+ yrs. and have had little symptoms, except I've noticed a gradual increasing memory loss. I've always had bad memory. but now it's short term memory loss. Can you give me any info on this? Thanks for getting back to me so quick. Guest guest
I agree. It can be helped with a perscription and no more then 8 oz of meat a day. Really my doctor wants me to eliminate it all together but I love it Subject: memory lossTo: Hepatitis_C_Central Cc: "Vickie" Date: Sunday, November 14, 2010, 3:40 PM I've had Hep.C for probably 30+ yrs. and have had little symptoms, except I've noticed a gradual increasing memory loss.
