Please join me in welcoming our newest member, Shelia from Washington

State who has joined us because:I've recently been diagnosed with

sarcoidosis and also have the erythema nodosum. So I am looking for

others like me that may have more information that will help me

understand this more.

We have quite a few members with sarcoidosis and EN. The good news is

that when EN is the presenting symptom of sarc., the sarc often runs

it course in 2-3 yrs. Now this is not for all cases, but something

that may happen for you. Welcome!

5. Describe your erythema nodosum/PG symptoms or, if you do not have

EN or PG, please explain why you wish to join this group.

I have lumps on my legs that first started out as red and my ankles

would swell. As time went on the lumps have went down quite a bit but

are still there. When this all started I was in great pain. I could

hardly stand for any amount of time. I want to join this group so I

can hopefully understand more about my condition and learn how others

have dealt with EN and if they were able to return to work.

I have been told that I have sarcoidosis. I'm waiting for my appt with

a lung dr. on Sept. 19th to learn more.

7. State what medications or treatments you take for EN, and their

effectiveness:

Right now I'm on the neneric for Relafen and also take Ranitidine as

the Relafen is supposed to cause stomach upset. When I take these

med's they control my cough. I'm not in the pain I was in the beginning.

8. When did you first get erythema nodosum or PG? I was diagnosed on

Aug. 2, 2005

9. How long have you had erythema nodosum or PG? Since July 2005
