Guest guest
Boceprevir was approved by the FDA on Friday! Big surprise that it was approved before Teleprevir. They're saying they will be shipping it to pharmacies within a week. I'm wondering how long it will be before the insurance companies agree to start covering it. My doc wants me on Boceprevir because Teleprevir has such bad rashes as a side effect, and I am already having some skin problems. Also Teleprevir had a much higher drop out rate during trials. I'm fine with that, except that I was really psyched about the shorter treatment time for Teleprevir. If anyone knows anything about how long it usually takes the insurance companies to agree to cover new drugs, will you let me know? Guest guest
My insurance company only pays 75% of the cost of current SOC. I wonder if my 25% share of the new SOC will be more than my take-home pay. Perhaps the V.A. can give me a break. > > If anyone knows anything about how long it usually takes the insurance companies to agree to cover new drugs, will you let me know? > > Thanks, > Deb >
