In the DFW area, I don't know anyone else besides Spurlock that I would trust for anything thyroid. He would not prescribe Armour for a patient with antibodies, but he would write for a synthetic T3/T4 combination.

You could call him and ask if he would be able to help her.

There is an endo in Rockwall or Rowlett named Asra Kermani who is Armour friendly. Someone wrote them up in the Database. I don't have any other info on them. (him?her?)

I have Graves' as well. I would highly recommend she do more research before

agreeing to radioiodine. Endos in DFW that are good with Graves' are hard to

find - I'm in a few groups and there just aren't any that have good feedback and

get recommended to work with Graves' patients. Most diagnose you and say you

need to kill the thyroid and start replacement therapy.

The only endo I've heard of in my group that I would consider as a last resort

would be nick. I'd much rather see an osteopath or family

practitioner that is willing to work with me.

I'm currently using anti-thyroid drugs to see if I can go into remission. If

nothing else, it's buying me time to research my options for treatment. I do

know I won't get radioiodine. I'd much rather choose surgery/a thyroidectomy.
