Guest guest
Ann - portable battery Ann, Thank you for this. Alana > > If its similar to what I had when I was tent camping at the race track, which it sounds like it is, this is worth the cost.? Mine came with a way to charge it in your vehicle as well so I could charge it at home using a wall outlet and a standard transformer type plug or I could charge it in my truck at the campgrounds. > > It worked well for several years...and somehow I believe I managed to kill it.? Once I got my camper I may have left it there over a winter and that is what I think did it in.? The track is on top of one of the Allegheny foothills so it starts getting cold at night up there in September/October and we are done for the season at the end of October until late April.? Its not uncommon to close and open camp with snow flying...so I think the hard freeze and lack of heat did my unit in. > > As long as you arent going to let it freeze for six or seven months, these are nice things to have.? ESPECIALLY for those of you with nebs or CPAPS in a brief power outage...these would be a good back up until you can get a better power source.?? (If its safe to drive, you can ALWAYS go to the nearest firehouse, ambulance or police station if you need a neb treatment and have no power...these places have automatic back up generators that kick on within seconds of a power failure for obvious reasons) > > Ann >
