Guest guest Posted May 23, 2002 Report Share Posted May 23, 2002 Hi Sara, I have the opposite take on what you said with regard to the shakes, meal replacement bars, etc. I'm in week 7 of my first challenge. The book recommends 3 meals and 3 replacement shakes, so when I was in Sacramento I went to GNC to check on the cost, availablity, etc. Then when my husband came down and we went over to actually purchase the stuff, Mr. Frugal almost had a cow!! <g> He couldn't believe the expense and wanted to know why we couldn't do one shake a day and meals the rest of the time. So basically that's what we do...and I feel like a little kid bringing my lunch to school every day. We usually eat 4 meals while we're at work and he manages two at home, I'm still stuck on one. I would have been happy to do the shake thing, but he wanted food. That's actually worked out well for us. I think that's why BFL is so good--its flexible.
