Guest guest Posted January 10, 2006 Report Share Posted January 10, 2006 Hello everyone just thought I would let you all know how I am Just about got over my operation although I am having terrible pain frome the scar tissue, I had another flare up before christmas and am now just starting to get another one the lumps seem to be coming out on the back of my legs more, I seem to have indentations on the front of my legs and feet where I usually get them I was wondering after having so many flare ups could it be that the fatty cells wear away that would explain the indentations, also I am swelling up so much I am putting on nearly half a stone with all the swelling I seem to be drinking water constantly and not weeing much I think all this fluid I am drinking is going down to my bottom half my ankles have been that swollen that I cannot bend my ankles my knees the same and also I am retaining water around my abdomen, feeling so tired all the time and not wanting even to get out of bed and that is not like me at all, had blood tests done before christmas as because my en first flared up after me having rhumatic fever my doctor was convinced that it was strep that was causing it but that came back negative the only thing he found again was that my B12 was down and also my folic acid he was convinced I was a veritarian as he said they get it due to not eating meat and poor diet but I assured him I am not a vegitarian. Anyway enough of me going on hope you are all well and everyone had a good christmas, I have not been on because firstly the operation which hit me for six then a friend died a week before christmas,christmas went well then on new years eve my uncle finally lost his battle to cancer so I have not had much time but I will be keeping in touch now,god bless everyone and keep well Love Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Let's hope 2006 will be Healthier and Happier for you and all of us! Interesting about the loss of fat you also experience from EN. I think it is caused by repeated trauma of flare ups. I read this also happens withe diabetics who repeatedly inject insulin and those who need to take steriod shots. I wonder if after the fat is gone will the EN also stop? Will there be nothing left to make lumps? I am wondering if this is why I am enjoying a longer than usual remission or if the triclosan is the reason. Either way is good because it could mean that eventually EN will " burn out " or that the triclosan will arrest some cases. Take care, and I do hope you start to feel much better soon!
