DETERMINATION OF AMOUNT PD

I would appreciate any info on centers who pay other facilities (plus their own

facility) on the Medicare allowable cost.

?? Who determines the amount to be paid??

??Does you transplant financial coordinator have to go through and itemize each

individual charge for every bill paid??

??Or who in your facility does this process??

Presently I authorize all bills that are paid through KACC and we pay billing

amount total as specified on the bill. Our facility is in the process of

changing to Medicare allowable cost and I could see how this could become a

lengthy process.

Any info would be greatly appreciated?
