Also, there is some argument that they are reabsorbed to some extent

have read and not available to the public, sorry can't remember)

Anyway, the end result is pale stools.

Hi Kids,

I called Dr K's and spoke to this morning. She said she has heard

of stools in many colors and compositions, beige, green, yellow, whipped

cream

consistency etc. Seems each of us is individual in that regard so not to

worry unless I feel ill. She also recommended Pepto for the late night

digestion

If you look back, I had late night bowel issues early on.....It eventually

gets better. It helped to not eat fats and any carbs late in the day.

We still have our bile acids, they just don't mix with our food

Indeed we still have all our bile going through our pipes. The pale

color comes from a " time factor " . Our poop isn't exposed to the

bile as long. Longer exposure to the bile will create a darker

color. In a Non-bariatrics person the pale color would be from a

lack of bile (not enough bile to cause the poop to darken).

I misspoke if I confused you. We do produce bile acids but they are

not released in a bolus, dripping out constantly instead. Also,

they do not mix with the foods we eat until late in the process.

Also, there is some argument that they are reabsorbed to some extent

before the common channel. (that might be from medical research I

have read and not available to the public, sorry can't remember)

Anyway, the end result is pale stools.
