Guest guest
I have already been told my 10 year old Daughter has A.D.D. and tourettes syndrome...but now there is some wonder if she had O.C.D. Some of her symptoms are typical of O.C.D. but others that most of you discuss are not there. My daughter is not a frequent hand washer in fact I have to keep on her about washing her hands at all. she does however stress over any task she is trying to achieve, like drawing her pictures. She gets so frustrated if it is'nt just perfect to the point of scribbling it out and wadding it up, while having a tantrum about it. She always talks about having a bad day before the day even happens. she has allot of fears. she has allot of thaughts that worry her. One time while riding in the back seat of the car with me driving and the windows down she suddenly and bluntly requested that I roll up the window near her " FAST " . When I asked why she said, in frustration " I keep thinking of throwing my toy out the window and I am going to do it. another time she had told me that the voice in her mind was telling her someting (and I cant recall what it was) I asked her if she was hearing voices and she said that " It is actually just a thaught but it seems like a voice " . Although intelligent,My daughter is very disorganized and is constantly forgetting to turn in her homework, homework that should have only taken about 30 minutes to do but ended up taking 1 hour and 30 minutes to do with the chaos and all... I remind her constantly that the only thing keeping her from good grades was turning in her homework assignments. She claims that she really wants to remember to turn them in and she wants to get good grades but she " just cant help it " , she " just can't stop forgetting " . I believe her. Does this sound farmilliar to anyone? Thanks for reading and any response. Zizzi
