Guest guest
Hi All: I've decided that *I* just can't take it! I just cannot handle dealing with the FOO anymore! And I definitely cannot deal with Nada. Even though she is sick and elderly, even though Dish Rag Dad is getting older, I know I will not be able to deal with them without getting very, very emotionaly hurt and possibly going into a deep depression. The Foo doesn't really like me, and I no longer like any of them. Nada has always hated me, and Dish Rag Dad thinks I'm a horrible daughter because I don't kiss Nada's butt. The writing is on the wall that this is an ALL LOSE situation for me -- and I need to sever all ties the best way I can, for self preservation. Things have been getting worse, and worse no matter how hard I try! Now that Nada is dying and Dish Rag Dad will be dying one of these years, I know the following will happen: 1- Dish Rag Dad will tell me I'm no good - or shun me because I haven't been kissing Nada's butt. 2- Nada will act more and more insane and hurtful. 3- Their house is off limits, because they might not even have my son's picture hanging up -- and I could not take that pain! 4- My brother is a loose cannon -- and will probably do something violent when Nada and Dish Rag Dad are dying and/or dead. 5- The rest of the FOO will probably verbally attack me and cause me tremendous emotional stress and depression. I have decided to lie to them! To write them a letter, and tell them that my blood pressure is sky high, that I have been put on a tranquilizer, and blood pressure medicine, and that my doctor has forbidden me to travel, and has forbidden me to get excited about family, etc. My doctor has specifically ordered that if there are family problems, my husband is to deal with them, and not me. My lie is that I was 1 mm from having a heart attack -- and this is life threatening. My grandmother and Nada has high blood pressure and so do 2 other people in my family, so they will believe me, I think. I think this is the only way I can break away from them, without starting a huge war, and maybe having someone come to my house and confront me and even get violent. I'll have my husband deal with any phone calls, etc. And slowly but surely, I will probably NEVER talk to any of them again. Let me know what you think, and thanks for listening! Barb T.
