Guest guest
Hi, I don't have info. on thimerosal free Tetanus vaccine, but I want to say you are very wise in deciding to avoid tetanus and other vaccines... My son was " pushed over the edge " by MMR,at 18 months, but he was improving, When he was 3 he fell, cut his head, and was given a tetanus shot. He lost all gains, and more. He has not spoken since then. He just turned 10. Before tetanus he had a vocab. of about 7-10 words, up from the loss after MMR. I guess I would tend to be very cautious. Guest guest
that's what we did. The imunoglobulin is mercury free. We did have to have his doctor demand that they give it to him. According to my dad (a retired doctor) the tetanus shot is important, BUT the best way to keep from getting infected, or getting rid of an infection is to soak the injured part in soapy water that is as hot as you can stand it. Soak it for 10-15 minutes three times a day till all sign of infection is gone. With my son I'll put the body part in a bowl of warm soapy water and slowly add hot water. If he pulls the body part out I know it's too hot for him and add a little cool water and then he'll put it back in. Luckily he LOVES water play, so soaking is no problem. It doesn't need to be anti-bacterial soap, a mild soap is fine. kaydykes@... wrote: > Hi, I posted here for the first time a couple of weeks ago about four > year boosters for my pdd child and got some very helpful responses.
