I went to t he doctor a few days ago....Keeping in mind that I weaned off of hydrocortisone over a period of 6 months. I was on 3 gr armour and then couldn't find it. I started on 3 gr compounded t4/t3 in miid December. In mid Jan. had my blood work done. the t4 was below range. t3 was in low normal range. tsh was .4

A lot of symptoms of hypo returned with my new medication - i.e. couldn't get out of bed inj the morning, weight gain (I had been losing up until the med change), cranky and fatigue.

The doctor believed that my numbers had cratered because of the fact that I was off the HC. She beleived it was more due to my adrenals than thy because of conversion issues....

I called about a week later to ask for a raise in my t4, but they want to wait until the results from adrenal saliva test comes back which should be in a few days.

Since I ordered the compounded dessicated T4/T3 from WIP 10 days ago, I have felt a teeny bit better.

Any thoughts on these numbers????

thanks for your input.

Re: Dr vist today

Your Free T4 at .79 is extremely low at slightly below the bottom of its range. I would want a slightly higher dose of thyroid or maybe the addition of some synthetic T4 to bring it up to midrange.
