Yeah, I think so, however I " ve also been told I'm

young for my age. I can understand I had the

freaking hermit for a mother as well as the

queen/waif who wouldn't let me see/do anything.

Her excuse was it's not safe, you'll rot your

brain ect. and we dont' have the money (mind you

we had the money for so many other things unlike

other situations where there honestly is not much

moeny but the kids get what they want anyway)

ANybody else know of the cure of this other than

renting a bunch of movies I missed and catchign

up on experiences I should have had as a kid?

Heya Marie,

I am glad that what I wrote was helpful. :) You know what it's like

with the self-doubt and stuff, often I have to remind myself that what

I have to say is worthwhile ... *because* it's my experience and

therefore good and valid. But anyway. You've mentioned two things

above that you would have liked to do, and sounds like you still want

to do them. I say, go for it! Can you afford to buy a keyboard, or a

flute for yourself? Perhaps take lessons? Nintendo / playstation games

can be great fun, my partner has one (I've never bothered to buy one),

and at times we race cars or do battle with each other. For a while I

was quite addicted to " role playing " adventure games on the

playstation, trying to work out a plot and so on. Don't know about

where you are, but here you can rent them for a weekly fee in video

shops, and libraries have some games too. Oh, and as for the " rot your

brain " - just think of how much time most people spend plugged into

their TV!! Pot calling kettle black, that...

He was pretty good, yeah... wish I was still seeing him sometimes.

Sounds like you are pretty determined - don't let anyone stop you! ;)

And don't sacrifice them because you think you should - it's your

sanity, not hers at stake.

Take care

Marie,

sounds awesome! I wish I could play a flute... my partner does, but

he is too lazy to keep it up properly. it's such a gorgeous instument,

isn't it? I hope you enjoy your game cube! If you can't find in

the shops ( which I doubt), there is always eBay. And Tetris is

addictive. :)

*hugs*
