Thanks Di. I will consider adding GABA. Think I have some. We are already doing lots of anitvirals and antifungals and they are not helping at all.

Re: Anxiety - Help!

Matt has this and GABA helped until he stopped taking the GABA according to his doctor antivirals and antifungals are going to make this go away along with a diet that is more hypoallergenic. ..we shall see....for now, I would try GABA since the other stuff isn;t somnething you can do anything about at this moment. Also, b vitamins helped us in this area....>> My son has lots of anxiety. Hi ,

I've heard of the Oxytocin but have never used it. I may give it a try. I'm willing to try ANYTHING at this point. That goes to show you how BAD my daughter's anxieties are. Today I gave her a 'QUICK' shower, and she is anxious about them. She screamed bloody murder the entire time. Refused to take her fingers out of her ears or step up a bit in the tub. Just stood there screaming and saying words that made no sense (that's what she does when she has a panic attack). She continued later when I asked her to go to the bathroom. BM's are ANOTHER source of anxiety for her. She can withhold her BM's for days.

From what you describe with your son, I think the use of public restrooms, or unfamiliar restrooms is NOT uncommon. Some kids, even NT kids, prefer the bathrooms at home. Using the bathroom is a private action and sometimes you just prefer your toileting in your own home.

The head butting is NOT a good thing, but hopefully you will find a solution for that. Best of luck to your.

Jackpot on the anxiety thing....she is a holder, okay, there is a

toxicity issue here as well as serious discomfort. Go to The Fiber

Menace site, order the book and FOLLOW his protocol for normalizing

her stools asap and restoring anorectal sensitivity...his strategies

WILL work, she will stop holding, and SO much of her anxiety will go

away when this issue is overcome. This needs to be addressed more

than anything, supp wise needs to be added in....I would also get

some peter Gilham's CALM from the healthfood store or cal mag if she

can swallow caps - oxypowder if that is all you can get your hands

on, but it is not the most desirable bc of the soluble fiber

ingredients....some of these fits esp in the shower are bc she is

holding, the shower relaxes and she is a holder trying to keep

painful stools in...the fiber menace research and protocols will

really really help you...it is not a super quick fix, but it will be

a permanent improvement and you can still add in the relaxing vits,

but you need to help her with the HOLDING issue....Di

Thank you so much for your suggestions Di, I will definitely check everything out and order the book. She does NOT swallow capsules, BUT she will take nearly any and all supplements if the capsules are opened and the granuals emptied onto a spoon with a little cracker added in to help it go down.

I've recently been able to get her to drink a little water (this was a source of anxiety previously), but she continues to mainly drink organic juice, organic lemonade, or decaf. ice tea that I make myself for her.

Thanks again,
