Guest guest
Hi a, Welcome to the Group! I thought it was awful that it took me 5 years to get diagnosed, and imagined that now it was easier to be properly diagnosed. Some members have been diagnosed immediatly with their first bout. So I see there is still so much to be done to educate doctors about EN. Stress often is associated with EN, but it is not listed as one of the approx. 100 different triggers. I think stress makes the body less able to contain the process that ultimately is the cause. So there is probably something else going on, but the stressful situation makes the body unable to handle it, and the EN is an indication that the " scales have tipped " . I know this is a very unscientific explanation, but it gives us a reason to search for the true trigger instead of letting us off the hook with blaming stress. After all, everyone has stress, and only relatively few of us get EN. I'm glad you finally have discovered what you have had for so long, and now you have lots of new friends who know exactly what you are experiencing and will help you to find the cause and deal with the pain.
