Guest guest
Fibromyalgia and high blood pressure can both be symptoms of hypothyroidism. Some folks who do not do well on a T4 med do much better on Armour or other desiccated thyroid. Issues which can cause thyroid hormone intolerance might include low ferritin (storage iron), low cortisol. S*E*X* hormones may also play a role. There is no endo in the DFW area that we recommend. >> Hi - I am a 57-year old woman in Dallas who has fibro and HBP but otherwise in fairly decent health. Guest guest
So if there are no recommended doctors in Dallas area, how does one get treated or evaluated? Particularly what do I do about the nodule & biopsy? Thanks, > > > > Hi - I am a 57-year old woman in Dallas who has fibro and HBP but > otherwise in fairly decent health. Guest guest
There are recommended doctors, it is just that none of them are endos. Unless and until you need RAI, you do not need an endo. One doc who has been very good about managing nodule/thyroid cancer patients is Elmore in Irving. > > >> > > Hi - I am a 57-year old woman in Dallas who has fibro and HBP but> > otherwise in fairly decent health. Guest guest
Thank you. I appreciate this info. > > > Hi -- > I don't have any doc recommendations for you but wanted to reassure you about the biopsy. I have nodules and have had fine needle biopsies of these nodules, not a big deal at all. My endo did the biopsy in his office with an ultrasound to guide placement of the needle. It really is a fine needle, meaning it's really thin, there was no pain involved and I drove myself home right after the procedure. Good luck to you and hope you find a doc you like. > Debrah > > --- In Texas_Thyroid_Groups , " mhbane " <mhbane@> > > I am terrified of getting this biopsy.
