I had very severe dry eye and tried Restasis. It burned like crazy. I didn't see how I could tolerate putting that in my eyes twice a day and waiting the 6 weeks it takes to be effective against dry eye. My doctor told me to also take flax seed oil, of all things, either 6 capsules daily or one tablespoon of the liquid daily. I figured it couldn't hurt and the doctor insisted research showed that it worked--this is an M.D. I'm speaking of, not a natural health practitioner. Well, I tried the flax seed oil and it's all I needed. I sure would never do without it again. lie
