Guest guest
The main thing is to get checked out - if it is something that can be sorted better to do it now than waiting until it gets even worse. Pain down thigh does not sound good - you mention pain in toes could be drug related but it may not be - so try and find the courage to get checked over. I am sure you don't want to hear that you have a problem but if you have the sooner you know about it the sooner the correct treatment can be applied - opefully. Rob Chester England. Guest guest
You might want to have your back evaluated and if it is your knees or hips that are affecting your back, you might ask for physical therapy. While the PT won't get rid of the problem with your knees or hips etc, it will help to relieve the pain by helping you learn how not to compensate, strengthen your muscles, and improve your gait. It's something to think about. Arianne, who is in week 2 of PT and finds it helping the hips and spine already. Guest guest
Hi Margaret, I have had spinal problems for over 30 years, so maybe I can give you some infomation. Firstly you should talk to your doctors. It stands to reason that if your knees are tormented it's going to effect your back. I have constant sciatica and because of this I walk in a way that least hurts. This completely throws my back. It's a viscious circle. From the information you have posted about the tingleing in your toes it makes me think of nerve entrapment. This is often the case, especially in that area of the spine. When I'm hurting more than normal in that area of my spine I actually swell up there. To help I use heat and ice pacs. I rotate them. The ice helps to decrease the irratation and the heat helps the muscles try to relax. You might want to try this. The best thing for you to do is to talk to your doctor's tho. They know your history.
