Guest guest
If you are talking about Spurlock, he was willing to write Cytomel for me, because I do not do well on timed release meds. But then, I had a reaction to the fillers in the Cytomel and requested compounded T3 in oil capsules. He called them into WIP on Friday and I had them by Monday!) They are working great. Since then, I have had to cut back the T3 and add in more ERFA, because I have been having a problem with wound healing and also having hypothyroid symptoms, mainly feeling cold on 150 mg ERFA plus 25 mcg T3. Now on 240 mg of ERFA plus 15 mcg of the T3, I am doing better on all fronts. Since I will not see him until February, I will send him a fax and tell him what I am doing and why, as I do not want to be labeled a non-compliant patient. > > > The doctor said my pregnenolone and aldosterone were fine and didn't recommend supplementing. My cortisol was in range low normal (11:00 am), but ACTH was just out of range high. DHEA and all those things were good according to the doc.> > > > > > I tried to tell him I am super sensitive to medication and that I wanted to try other things first, but he strongly suggested that he thought I really needed the HC. I know when I've tried licorice or adrenal extracts in the past I have ended up not being able to sleep. I wonder if there is another avenue or issue not yet addressed. > > > > I wonder what having my Free T3 way over range for 6-9 months did to my adrenals. What if the ACTH was high just because my body was trying to make enough cortisol to keep up with too much thyroid.> > > > Sorry to be so negative, just wishing I could go back in time to when a doc lowered my meds and started me on this crazy roller coster 4 years ago.> > > > Thanks for the feedback.> >
Guest guest
I sent him a fax. Then I followed up with a phone call to confirm that he was indeed in the office and had gotten the fax. That is the best way to communicate with docs who do not do email. Phone messages are a joke. I got the same reaction to the Cytomel as I have from several other drugs: an irritated urinary tract which feels like a bad infection. I would note that the WIP T3 in oil worked better than the Cytomel. > > > > > > > The doctor said my pregnenolone and aldosterone were fine and didn't recommend supplementing.
