Hi,

Is the film atop my brew a baby SCOBY or a zooglia? What to do with the film

that forms and makes the umbrella? I thought it was a baby.

KT cream: one of my boys has some patches of excema. Sometimes, he'll claw

at them and they will get open in places. Can I KT cream these?

When can I add Ginger to my brew for flaovring- after bottling?

I read a recent post about upper layers being more bactieria-ish and lower

layers being more yeasty: when decanting- do you really mix up the batch?

Which section is better for starter? I had a couple of batches that did not

make babies, and I am thinking a couple of problems: soap residue on ym

hands possibly but also that I may have used the lower levels for my starter

which was not bacteria rich?

How can I separate clingy babies? Do I need to let the babies have some

growing time in something before brewing with them? What about thin cultures

or ones that have holes in them when separating?

I noticed that my heating tray vibrates sometimes also when I have 2 gallon

jars on it- could that make for no babies?

Thanks,

Joy
