looking for doctor in Houston area that does not push RAI

Hello and thank you for welcoming me to this group. What a wealth of

information!

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism/Graves disease in 1998 and have been on

Methimazole off and on for this condition. I have visited two endocrinologists

in the Houston area and both push for me to have the RAI that would destroy my

thyroid. I have done my research and have chosen not to do this.I am looking

for a doctor or a physician's assistant who lets me be involved in the decision

making process. I would love to just be able to go in and complete my labs then

adjust my anti-thyroid medication accordingly.

Does anyone know of a doctor in the Houston area that they are pleased with? I

live in Katy but I am willing to travel. I lived in Corpus Christi ten years ago

and my general practitioner would just test me twice or so a year to make sure

everything was ok and she did not push me to do anything I did not want to do.

Would love to have this again. Thank you in advance for your replies.
